The Medical Directorate and Force HQ BSF Hospital-1, in collaboration with Max Hospital, Patparganj, successfully conducted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) session chaired by Dr. Umesh Tiwari, Director Medical BSF, focusing on recent advancements in Oncology and Gastroenterology. This initiative brought together leading experts and medical professionals to foster academic learning and clinical dialogue.
The session featured distinguished speakers:
Dr. Meenu Walia, Vice Chairman, Medical Oncology, Max Hospital, shared insights on “What’s New in Cancer Treatment,” highlighting cutting-edge developments in cancer therapeutics.
Dr. Ajitabh Srivastava, Director, HPB Surgery and Liver Transplant, presented “Demystifying Liver Transplant,” offering clarity on surgical advancements and clinical decision-making in liver transplants.
Dr. Tripti Saxena, Director, Radiation Oncology, spoke on “New Age Radiation Oncology,” emphasizing the impact of emerging technologies on radiation therapy practices.

The event was graced by Dr. Umesh Tiwari, Director Medical, BSF, who delivered a keynote address and acknowledged the importance of CME in enhancing healthcare delivery, especially in challenging operational environments.

In addition to medical officers from FHQ BSF Hospital-1, CME was also attended by medical officers from BSF Medical Dte, IG Headquarter BSF New Delhi offline and a total of 59 Medical Officer from various BSF Headquarters attended online, enabling widespread access to specialized knowledge and reinforcing the Force’s commitment to high-quality healthcare delivery.
