The General Douglas MacArthur Military Leadership Writing Award: Recognizing excellence in military research, academic writing, and leadership studies.
The rigorous course is traditionally reserved for high-potential, mid-career field-grade officers earmarked as future leaders within their respective national armed forces.
Preparing for Complex Warfare
Addressing the graduating class, Lieutenant General Jim Isenhower, Commanding General of the US Army Combined Arms Command and Fort Leavenworth, emphasized the escalating demands of modern military command.
Lt. Gen. Isenhower noted that the graduates had successfully navigated a punishing academic curriculum and must now apply these strategic lessons to increasingly volatile and complex global operational environments.
Founded over a century ago, the Command and General Staff College has trained more than 8,700 international students from nearly 170 countries alongside American officers, focusing on leadership in rapidly evolving security landscapes.
