Seven-Year-Old Ishank Singh to Swim Palk Strait; Aims for World Record


Rameswaram: A young prodigy from Ranchi, Jharkhand, seven-year-old Ishank Singh, is all set to create a new marvel in the world of maritime adventure. This little champion is arriving with the goal of setting a world record by swimming across the Palk Strait, the sea between India and Sri Lanka. At just seven years and Nine months of age, Ishank will begin his historic swim this coming April 29th 2026 Ishank is preparing for this feat under the rigorous guidance of Coach Aman Kumar Jaiswal. 
The intense training he has undergone over the past few months under Aman kumar Jaiswal has given Ishank immense confidence. The young athlete 
aims to cover a distance of approximately 30 kilometers, starting from Talaimannar in Sri Lanka and finishing at Dhanushkodi in Tamil Nadu.
Ishank is preparing to become the youngest talents in the world to swim across the Palk Strait. Special training is being provided under the leadership of Coach Vijayakumar 
at the SDAT Theni Swimming Academy to overcome the strong ocean currents and winds. 
This adventurous attempt will take place on April 29th 2026 with the permission of the Indian Coast Guard and the Sri Lankan Navy, accompanied by safety boats.
 If Ishank successfully completes this distance, it will become a new milestone in the world records for the youngest swimmers.
